Gathered softly at the waist, your Edwardian romance will be fulfilled.
3/4 Sleeve Length: Three quarter length sleeves stop halfway between the wrist and elbow, a stylish mix of both long and short sleeves. They are ideal for special occasions and give off a classy vibe, especially for more mature women.
Scoop Neck: Scoop necks form parabolic necklines for clothing, accentuating the wearer's collarbones and shoulder lines in chic manner. Scoop necks can be stylishly worn for many occasions, from casual to formal.

Victorian Period: The Victorian Period reigned from 1837 to 1901. These dresses had visibly distinct bodices, similar to the empire waist fit today, and low necklines for formal occasions. Skirts were also cut narrower to produce a slim frame. A reproduction dress from that period needs to incorporate the above features.
1920's Period: The flapper style is iconic of the 1920s. Flapper dresses were straight cut and loose, they did not hug the curvature of the body. They also had lower waistlines to promote a "boyish" look. Dresses usually stopped at the calf, similar to tea length dresses. A reproduction of a dress from that period would need to encompass the features named above.
Downton Abbey: Downton Abbey is a British period drama set at the end of the Edwardian Era, the early 1900s. The show focuses on an aristocratic family during the reign of King George V. At this period of time, waistlines were raised to an empire fit. Embroidery was also very prevalent in designs. Layering the skirts of dresses with embroidered or lace fabrics also grew into fashion. Put together, these elements would make a dress that accurately represents the late Edwardian Era.

So happy to have received my dress today. Amazed how quickly it came to the UK, within a week! Colour is exactly what I hoped. I would say to other possible UK customers, I bought size L I am 5ft 3ins and size 14 it fits perfectly and the length is perfect for 2.5 in heel.

Perfect for 2nd wedding
There is tan in this dress, but I would call it mostly off white with hints of light tan. 1X size fits perfect. It’s simply beautiful and very 1920’s style.

Beautiful Dress, just a tad shy
This is such a beautiful dress. It fit fine except right across the bust. It has like an X sewing line. I wish it had like an extra two inches. I could have worn it but would have been uncomfortable in the way it looked. Not into tight tops like that. But its so pretty and well made and you won't be disappointed. I did follow the chart measurements and was fully expecting it to fit. Just needed a bit more. I sent it back sadly.

Bought this to wear to my sons wedding. The dress was delivered and packaged well. It fits well. And it’s pretty. However, it is more of a brown than a pearl color. So I was disappointed with that. Wasn’t planning on wearing brown to the wedding, but I guess I will make it work.

Exceeded expectations
Breathtakingly beautiful dress. I have rarely had luck buying clothing on line. Happily, this dress was far beyond what I had hoped.

This dress is beautiful and lovely and delicate and I am excited to wear it. Well made and fits well. I am 5'9" and thin/small chested and got a small and it is long enough and fits well. Love this dress!
Strange color....
I ordered this dress in pearl, in the photo looked like an off-white or cream. Arrived and is definitely brown.A light shade of brown, but brown nonetheless...

I purchased this dress for my Australian Bush Style wedding, it was beautiful and fitted perfect and arrived within 8 days. I got compliments all day and still people are asking me where did I get my dress, and the boots I also purchased just finished the dress off, again everyone was asking where did I get them...even though the boots did not get here until the Thursday (due to warehouse mix up) before the Saturday (wedding day) I was impressed with staff of Romantic Vintage Style Fashion for having them sent by express free of charge..made my day and would recommend purchasing these lovely dresses for any special occasion.

Beautiful for second time around wedding
I bought the Downton Abbey Tea Party Gown for my second wedding. As a 50 something woman I wanted pretty and feminine without the full white wedding look. The dress arrived very promptly and while the colour was more a dark almost coffee cream it was beautiful. The fit was perfect and did not require any adjustment. I was very comfortable all day. I received a lot of lovely comments about the dress.

Beautiful dress....
Very pleased with this dress... wearing as Mother of the Groom in June... while the color is called Pearl, it is definitely more of a beige, but a nice soft color.... Detail is lovely and the dress appears to be well made. Very happy with my purchase.

It is a lovely dress, well made. It is a bit tight in the bust, so go a bit larger if you are larger busted. I had to return it. Also, be aware, it is not really "pearl." It is more tan.
Since the return policy is so cumbersome and expensive with the wardrobe shop, be sure to read the size chart carefully and then buy a size larger.
